Bring on Maryland

Good day to you all Hurricane Nation.

I don't know about the rest of you, but I am ready for some Hurricane football.  The season could not start soon enough.  I recently read an article that stated how ESPN could air the "30 on 30" about us and then turn their backs so quickly.  They thrive on this kind of publicity--especially if it involves the U.  I try to avoid ESPN altogether but every pundit I have seen, especially ESPN, is calling for the death penalty.  This will make this season that much sweeter.  I cannot wait until we first take that field come 8:00 p.m., September 5th.  Golden is going to have our boys pumped beyond belief.  I honestly believe that we are going to blow the Terps out of this land.  Miami has always played with a chip on their shoulder, but that chip has been replaced by the weight of the world.

Fans, we are like the Rodney Dangerfield's of the college football world.  We will never inherit the respect that we deserve.  Five national titles. 34 consecutive home wins.  39 consecutive regular season wins.  20 consecutive road wins.  Not to mention the pro caliber players that we pump out into the NFL.  But to the media we will always be known as "Thug U."  We will be on ESPN more for the trouble that we get into, not because we are the U.

This school's history is unparalleled.  We have done so much for college football, as well as for the NCAA.  To this day, when our games air, we continue to set viewer records.  They would love to see us go down in a blaze of flames.  But not so quick.  The U will always rise.  We will always remain on our feet.  How can people still root for this University?  To which we all reply, "It's a Cane thing, you wouldn't (and will never) understand.
