It seems that today's scrimmage at Greentree Field was an offensive showing. Jacory Harris and Stephen Morris were a combined 39-57 for 547 yards, accounting for 6 touchdowns and no turnovers. Quite an improvement. Miller and James each ran the ball a total of 6 times and combined for 99 yards. Darion Hall was impressive carrying the ball 11 times and scoring a touchdown. Golden said that "Hall has been one of the surprises of training camp." Tommy Streeter had 7 catches for 147 yards and 2 touchdowns. Not too shabby. The scrimmage ended in a dramatic fashion resulting in Streeter catching a 50 yard hail-mary pass from Harris and being stopped at the one yard line, resulting in a white team victory. Jake Wieclaw made a 53 yard field goal in the first half.
As far as the defense, Golden said that tackling "still needs to be improved." Andrew Smith was highly praised.
