Tracy Howard will Visit Miami

Miramar High (FL.) All-American DB Tracy Howard has announced that his fifth and final official visit will be with the U.  This was quite the pleasant surprise, to say the least.

Most thought that he would give his last visit to either Alabama or LSU.   With over 30 offers from BCS schools to his name, Howard has mentioned that he has been a 'Canes fan since he was little, and thinks that it is only right that the home team get their chance at landing him.

Howard (5-11, 180) will attend college in-state and will choose between Florida, Florida State, and Miami on February 1st, National Signing Day.  He has visited Florida and Florida State multiple times and many analysts consider him to be a Florida lean.

Miami commits Deon Bush and Duke Johnson are good friends with Howard.  Both will visit Miami while Howard is there, unofficially, perhaps to try and sway the five-star recruit to Coral Gables.  Rumor has it that Malcolm Lewis, Howard's teammate at Miramar and current 'Canes commit, will forgo his final visit at UCLA in order to join Bush and Johnson in trying to convince Howard that the U is the place to be.

Head coach Al Golden and his staff have really turned it up in these closing weeks.  With the additions of DT Jacoby Briscoe, DB Deon Bush, and DE Tyriq McCord, and possibly the addition of Tracy Howard--wow, that would be a great close.  Golden is putting his money where his mouth is and showing that he can recruit with the best of them.

However, getting Howard to commit will still be a bit of a challenge.  Miami can offer him early playing time which goes a long way with these youngsters now-a-days.  Howard has the potential to be a starter from day one.
