'Canes Participate at Combine

With the NFL Draft quickly approaching, today a number of former Miami Hurricanes showed off their abilities.  Here is a quick look at how some of them did.

Travis Benjamin - 4.36 forty
Lamar Miller - 4.38 forty
Jacory Harris - 4.71 forty
Tommy Streeter - 4.34 forty

Linebacker Sean Spence is slated to be a third-round pick.  With so much passing in the NFL, Spence's height is a concern to many teams.  In my opinion, Spence in the third-round would be a steal.

Of the Hurricanes who entered the draft, Tommy Streeter, Brandon Washington, Lamar Miller, Marcus Forston, Olivier Vernon, Sean Spence, and Micanor Regis are all expected to be drafted.

Of Jacory Harris, LaRon Byrd, Chase Ford, Marcus Robinson, and Adewale Ojomo, only a couple are expected to be drafted from this group.

In all, the ACC has 44 players in the combine.  The SEC sits atop with 53 players represented, followed by the Big Ten (45) and the PAC-12 (45).

The Hurricanes have not had a first-round draft selection in four years.  The most 'Canes selected in a single draft day is 11 back in 2002.
