Ed Reed Won't Retire, Yet

Baltimore Raven's General Manager Ozzie Newsome announced that Pro-Bowl safety Ed Reed will return to the team next season.

Reed, who has been pondering the idea of retiring since 2008, will be 34 years old once the season begins in 2012.

According to ESPN, "Reed is the Raven's franchise leader with 57 career interceptions, the most in the NFL since he entered the league in 2002."  Reed had a rather disappointing season last year, in terms of numbers, accounting for only three interceptions.

He has been battling a bum shoulder for some years now, but is still a force to be reckoned with on the field. We look forward to seeing him come back.
