The University of Miami has dismissed senior safety Ray Ray Armstrong.
Through a statement, the University said the following: "The University of Miami has dismissed senior Ray-Ray Armstrong from
the football team. Armstrong can continue to be enrolled as a
scholarship student at UM to complete his degree or the University will
grant him a full release should he elect to transfer to another
institution."
Armstrong has been no stranger to trouble while being a Hurricane. He was involved with former booster Nevin Shapiro and was suspended last season for sending out a tweet about having dinner with a public relations representative who represents professional athletes.
Just this spring Miami coaches praised Armstrong and his noticeable change in attitude. However, a recent tweet by Armstrong that involved yet another booster was the final straw for coach Golden.
Armstrong will have finished his career at Miami with 134 tackles and four interceptions.
