TE Blake Ayles Football Career is Over

It appears that University of Miami tight end Blake Ayles football days have come to an abrupt end multiple sources say.  Ayles was expected to become the Cane's starting tight end this season but after sustaining a concussion during the first week of fall camp he has yet to return to the field.

According to Ayles has the opportunity to redshirt the remainder of this year, however, "he is not expected to be cleared by doctors."  "It has been reported that Ayles suffered two concussions while attending USC."

Ayles was the top ranked tight end coming out of high school in 2008 and chose the Trojans over Miami, Ohio State, Arizona State, Wisconsin, and Cal.  His season has been cut short the past three of four years due to injury.

We wish him the best.
