T'was the Night Before Game Time

And the Hurricanes will get Al Golden his first win.  At least I hope.  Well fellow Cane's fans, in t-minus 23 hours the Miami Hurricanes will take the field against The Ohio State Buckeyes.  May the stadium be packed and the weather be nice.  Last year the Buckeye's got the best of our beloved Cane's winning at home 31-24.  May the Cane's be on the other end this time.  With the return of J12, Spence, Ojomo, Forston, and Benjamin, they should provide the much needed spark to set this team ablaze.

Thus, college footall presents to us fans the "Ineligibowl."  Both teams are amid scandal and both teams will be shorthanded.  Ohio State will be without Mike Adams, DeVier Posey, Solomon Thomas, and Boom Herron.  Miami will still be without star safety Ray Ray Armstrong.  Both teams are lead by new head coaches out to prove themselves and both teams were held to high expectations coming into the season.  As for Miami, an appearance in a BCS bowl may still be out of reach.  As for Ohio State it is still too early to tell.

In order for a Miami win, Jacory Harris MUST limit turnovers.  He was plagued with four interceptions in last year's game, three of which may have been preventable.  Keep the ball in the hands of the Miami receiver's.

Can the Miami offensive line play with some passion?  Do not allow yourselves to be pushed around like we saw at Maryland.  The Ohio State defensive line isn't Maryland.  These are the big boys.  Play disciplined and play smart.  Lamar Miller and Mike James will take care of the rest.

Ohio State's quarterback Joe Bauserman seemed a bit inconsistent last week versus Toledo however he has played mostly mistake-free.  This will be his first true test.  I honestly expected Braxton Miller to be starting quarterback by this time and I am not quite sure why he isn't.  I think he will develop into a much better Terelle Pryor.  With the return of Spence, Ojomo, and Forston look for Miami to put pressure on Bauserman early on.  They should come out swinging, rattling the bux Q.B.  Expect some pass rushing and blitzes.

If the Cane's can control the game, limit turnover's, and manage the clock, then there is no reason for us to not see a victory.  Oh ya, how about a few less penalties as well.  If we see the J12 of old it could be a long night.  Go Cane's!
