Welcome Back, Welcome Back, Welcome Back

Travis Benjamin, welcome back to the field.  The senior wide receiver leads all others with 2,550 all-purpose yards and 12 touchdowns.  Benjamin was suspended for the first game of the season and will regain his reign at receiver and punt returner.  According to 247.com, Benjamin did not look at his suspension "as a negative thing," rather as an opportunity to step up for the Ohio State game.  His experience will be much needed going into Saturday night's game.  Last year, Benjamin returned a punt of 79 yards for a touchdown and managed 51 yards receiving.

Due to his suspension, Benjamin and the other ineligible player's were not allowed to attend the Maryland game, however, they sat and watched, wishing they could somehow contribute.

Golden plans to use Benjamin as both a punt and kick returner, as well as line him up in various receiver spots and may use him for a variety of running plays.  Should be exciting to watch.  With Benjamin's speed, Harris will be allotted a deep threat who will be able to keep Ohio State's db's on their toes.  Let's hope his game this year is better than last year's.  Benjamin had a number of dropped passes and was the cause of at least one interception.
